Westwood Cyber High School a 'huge success'

Officials in the Westwood School District are doing what they can to ensure all students graduate from high school.

Last January, Westwood Cyber High School, an alternative education program, opened to Wayne County residents and it has been a huge success.

Cyber High School offers students two online learning alternatives.

The most popular, My School, offers students a chance to do the majority of learning online, while coming into school for lab projects a couple days each week.

The other option, Not School, is strictly online based.

My School is for students who have shown a pattern of failure or are falling behind in earning their graduation credits.

In addition to attending the tech center at least twice a week, face-to-face meetings with experts and mentors are required to ensure students remain engaged in the project based learning environment.
